In 1995, the company was founded to provide railway services in the widest range – from information support to transportation.
At the initial stage, OLZHA concentrated its efforts on transportation with the involvement of third-party wagon fleet, wholesale sales of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and petroleum products.
OLZHA begins to form its own tank wagon fleet for transportation of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and petroleum products.
Long-term cooperation with Tengizchevroil (TCO) JV LLP, the leader of the oil and gas industry, which has become a company’s strategic partner for many years, was established.
Contracts for the sale of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and services for the transportation of TCO products were concluded.
There was the beginning of the formation of its own fleet of specialized railway tank wagons for transportation of petroleum and petroleum products.

In 2011, the company is certified by the Railway Administration as an enterprise performing wagon current uncoupling repair, which is carried out at its own repair bases located at Kulsary station.
In 2012, OLZHA Group of Companies begins cooperation with the Kazakhstan-China Direct Investment Fund CITIC KAZYNA INVESTMENT FUND I (SKIF), under which it implements the company’s strategic plan for increasing the wagon fleet.
In 2013, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) provided OLZHA with a loan to support the company’s development and growth, which was for the EBRD, the first private project in the railway industry in Kazakhstan.
In 2014, the company expanded its rolling stock with covered wagons and container flatcars, thereby expanding the range of its own rolling stock.
In 2015, OLZHA crossed the 20-year milestone, which is an evident proof of its solvency and competitiveness in the transportation and sales market of petrochemical products.
In 2015-2016, OLZHA Group of Companies made a complete reconstruction of the petroleum products storage base in the Atyrau Region in the framework of cooperation with the EBRD.
The technological equipment was updated, the base capacity in terms of the volume of petroleum products storage increased.
The company has a developed infrastructure for the railway wagon maintenance and carries out an annual wagon fleet replenishment policy with its own and borrowed funds.
A railway fleet consisting of more than 2000 rolling stock units is in the company’s operational management.
